• Communications — records of your correspondence with us, including inquiries, support requests, reviews, and survey responses.

Information we collect automatically

• Usage data — pages viewed, links clicked, and how you navigate the Website;
• Device and connection data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and device identifiers;
• Cookies and similar technologies — as described in our Cookie Policy.

Information from third parties
We may receive information from service providers such as analytics and booking platforms, and, where applicable, from a personal tow-vehicle’s GPS or telematics during a rental. We combine this only as needed to operate our business.

• Set up your account, process reservations, and complete rentals;
• Verify driver eligibility and identity;
• Process payments and manage deposits, fees, and refunds;
• Send service communications such as confirmations, invoices, reminders, and important notices;

• Send marketing communications where you have not opted out (you may opt out at any time);
• Analyze and improve the Website and our services; and
• Comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights and the safety of others.

3. Payment Information

When you make a payment, your card details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor using encryption. GoSilver does not store full payment-card numbers on its own systems. Our processor retains only the limited information needed to support recurring charges, refunds, and fraud prevention, in accordance with applicable payment-card industry standards.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share personal information only as follows:

• Service providers — vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, booking and fleet management, email delivery, analytics, and IT support, under contracts that limit their use of the information to those services;
• Professional advisers — lawyers, accountants, insurers, and similar advisers as needed;
• Legal and safety — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of GoSilver, our customers, or others (for example, sharing with insurers, debt-collection agencies, or authorities in connection with an accident, unpaid balance, or traffic citation during a rental); and
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, sale, or transfer of all or part of our business, subject to this Privacy Policy.

5. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”), gives you the following rights:

• Right to know — to request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it;
• Right to delete — to request that we delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions;
• Right to correct — to request that we correct inaccurate personal information;
• Right to opt out — of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. As stated above, GoSilver does not sell or share personal information, so no opt-out is necessary; and
• Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

6. Your Choices

Marketing communications
You may opt out of promotional emails at any time by following the unsubscribe link in any such message or by contacting us. Opt-out does not apply to transactional messages about your account or active rentals.

Cookies and tracking
You can control cookies through your browser settings, as described in our Cookie Policy. We honor browser-based opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required by law.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide services, comply with legal, tax, and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information, including encryption of sensitive data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
