Earn Money With Your Airstream or RV
Put your trailer in a working rental fleet in Lathrop, CA. We handle the renters, the cleaning, the maintenance and the turnover, and your trailer helps pay for itself.
Is it profitable to rent out my RV?
It can be, but nobody can honestly promise you a number, and we will not. Michael tells every owner the same thing: “I don’t have a crystal ball, but we make every effort to get the unit rented.”
What we can promise is the care. Your trailer is cleaned and maintained on the same routine as the rest of the fleet, and whatever it earns goes toward the cost of owning it, instead of it sitting in your driveway losing value.
What moves the result: the size and condition of the trailer, how many weekends you block for yourself, and how the season runs. April through October is the busy stretch here, and holidays book year round.
How much does it cost me?
Storage on our lot is included while your rig is in the program, so it is not sitting at your house or costing you a storage space somewhere else. We walk you through the program terms when you bring the trailer by.
What kind of insurance covers my RV?
Ours, not yours. Every rental goes out under a commercial RV rental policy that covers the trailer and the renter, so your personal policy is not the thing standing between you and a bad weekend. Renters are screened before they are handed keys.
How does the program actually work?
Four steps, and the first one is a conversation, not paperwork.
- You bring the trailer by the shop in Lathrop and we look at it together. We will tell you honestly whether it is a fit, and we would rather say no than take on a rig that will disappoint renters.
- We get it ready. With your permission we do a light update if it needs one, and it gets a good cleaning inside and out. Anything mechanical gets sorted in our own shop.
- It goes on our booking system and into the rotation, alongside the rest of the fleet. We handle renters, walkthroughs, cleaning, turnover and maintenance.
- You get paid quarterly, within the following quarter.
What are the pitfalls of renting out your RV?
The real ones are wear, strangers, and the work. Renting through a marketplace puts a stranger in your trailer and leaves the cleaning, the questions at 9pm and the repairs to you. That is the part owners quit over.
In our program the trailer lives at our yard, our crew turns it over, and our shop fixes what needs fixing. Owners tell us their trailer looks better than the day they dropped it off, and that is the part we are proud of. If something breaks, you hear it from us before you hear it from a renter.
Who is this for?
Owners who like their trailer but are not using it enough to justify what it costs to keep. Most of the rigs in our program came from people a few years into ownership: the payment is still there, the calendar is not. If you are trying to get out from under a rig you cannot afford, selling is usually the better answer, and we will tell you that.
Michael’s own question when an owner calls: is this something you have to sell to get out from underneath the payment, or if you could keep it, would you keep it? If the answer is keep it, this program exists for exactly that.
Do I still get to use my own trailer?
Yes. You can reserve it anytime. Block the dates you want and the trailer is yours on those days.
What kind of RVs do you take?
Airstreams first, and other well-kept travel trailers case by case. Condition matters most: age only matters if the trailer has not been properly maintained. If you are not sure, send a few photos and we will tell you either way.
